Nevertheless, Tim David and Dewald Brevis stepped up, maintaining their team’s momentum by smashing two sixes off Mitchell Santner in the fifteenth over. David further exhibited his prowess, striking three maximums off Mohammad Mohsin’s bowling in the sixteenth over. However, he fell to Mohsin in the same over.

With 35 runs needed from 25 balls, David Wiese partnered with Brevis to steer MI New York towards victory. The duo displayed composure and skill, ultimately guiding their team over the finish line with one over to spare.

However, Devon Conway and Milind Kumar staged a solid recovery, building a crucial partnership. Milind Kumar showcased his power by hitting Steven Taylor for a four and a six, propelling the Texas Super Kings to 98/3 in 14 overs. The duo combined for a resilient 77-run stand from 60 balls before Rashid Khan dismissed Milind Kumar for 37 runs off 34 balls in the sixteenth over. Conway, too, departed after lofting a catch to Dewald Brevis in the seventeenth over.

As the innings reached its conclusion, Tim David struck in successive deliveries, claiming the wickets of David Miller and Gerald Coetzee in the last over. MI New York executed an impressive run-out of Rusty Theron on the final delivery, dismissing the Super Kings for 158.
