The Tristate selectors are expected to name at least eight USA national players in its squad. The   team is the current national champions of the USA and since its inception six years ago, has never lost a game on USA soil. The squad has just returned from a three day preparation camp in Maryland and from all indications seems to be ready for the opposition.

In an interview with Triholder Marshall, a member of the Lynx who last represented the USA in the Women World Cup Qualifiers in Bangladesh, she seemed very confident that her team will get the job done. “The ladies have been working very hard and are serious about maintaining their victory streak”, she said.

However, the other teams are expected to provide strong opposition and some exciting cricket. The New Jersey Eagles and the Ontario Cricket Academy will be coming with strong teams to create their own legacy. The dark horse is the New York Development team sponsored by the New York Region which is expected to have some young and capable individuals.  All teams will be published next week.

A few weeks from now, New Yorkers will be witnesses to whether the legacy continues or whether a new champion will be crowned.
