Kingsmen XI are back in the Trinweld T25 Morning Division Finals for the second consecutive year. In a nail-biting semifinal clash against Cricket Boss at Baisley Cage, Kingsmen XI held their nerve to secure the win, setting up a blockbuster finals showdown with Elite CC.

After winning the toss, Kingsmen XI chose to bat first and posted a competitive total of 175/8 in their allotted 25 overs. Leading the charge was Arnil Ragdnath, who played a crucial knock of 58 off 49 balls, smashing nine fours. Mohammed Shaw added 25 off 26 balls with two boundaries and a six, while Kevin Augustin chipped in with 23 off 16 balls, striking two sixes. For Cricket Boss, Satrohan Singh impressed with 3/31 in his five overs, while Faiz Azeez claimed 2/37.

In reply, Cricket Boss looked threatening early on. Vedeshpaul Singh blasted 54 off 41 balls with six boundaries and two sixes, Kevin Christian powered 29 off just 17 balls with three sixes and a four, and Kevin Shaw contributed 26 off 44 balls with three fours. Despite their efforts, Cricket Boss ultimately fell short. The game amusingly featured three players named Kevin, but it was veteran pacer Kevin Augustin who emerged as the standout, finishing with 4/22 in five overs. Arnil Ragdnath backed up his batting heroics with 2/21 in five overs, including a maiden, while young sensation Ansar Yasim—who leads the division with 17 wickets in nine innings—continued his fine form with 2/34 in five overs, also delivering a maiden. With two star-studded sides set to clash in the finals, this promises to be a game not to be missed.

Meanwhile, in the Buffalo Wild Wings Saturday Premier Division, Kingsmen XI’s campaign came to an end after suffering their third defeat of the season to Merri Perri in a low-scoring affair. Bowled out for just 83 runs in 19 overs, only Kalash Singh (23) and Daryl Heerasingh (16) managed to reach double figures. Yadbir Singh ripped through the lineup with 4/22 in 5.1 overs, supported by Sushil Kumar, who bagged 3/15 in four overs.

After the game, the Kingsmen XI captain reflected on their debut season in the Saturday T30 Premier Division, saying:
“We made a start. A lot of teams talk about it, but we actually did it. We’ve now seen what the competition is like. We’ll go back to the drawing board, make the necessary adjustments, and get ready for the 2026 season. For now, we’ll shift our focus to defending our championship in the Saturday T25 Morning Division, take a few weeks off, and then get back to work.”
