EACA 40-overs Tournament
Phantom hosted Arsenal at Lido Beach on June 22nd. Arsenal won the toss and elected to bat first. Phantom bowled very well and restricted Arsenal to 155 all out in 34.2 overs. Top scorer for Arsenal was Mustafa Moez 37 and Arif Markti 28.

Rehan Shahid took 4 for 17 against Phantom.

Atiq Mufti was the standout bowler for Phantom taking three wickets.

In reply Phantom started very aggressively scoring all over the ground. Sainishchal Besagarahally Manjunath who is a backbone for Phantom’s batting line up scored 41 in no time and didn’t seem to lose any form after scoring an unbeaten 71 against Everest ACS last week. Sainishchal Besagarahally Manjunath was bowled by Rehan Shahid on the first ball of his spell which was a huge setback for Phantom CC.

Phantom’s batsman kept scoring at a good run rate but kept on loosing wickets. Rehan spinning excellently from one end kept on taking wicket. However Phantoms batsman attacked other bowlers as they defended every ball against Rehan. He has already taking 3 wickets came to bowl his 7th over, at the  22nd over, Phantom nine down and needing 12 runs in 18 overs. Rehan started his 7th over as expected, spinning and making the batsman dance, his first three balls  missed the outer edge of the bat.

Shakeeb Murtaza playing with a very cool head was stumped off the 4th ball but escaped as very close call. Rehan looking to wrap up Phantom’s inning bowled Shakeeb with a flighted delivery and won the game for Arsenal.

Phantom could not believe it as they came so close. Phantom CC was very confident as they came into this game beating Everest ACS last week.

To sum up Phantom were bowled out for 143 in 23 overs. Arsenal won by 11 runs. Rehan Shahid spun a magnificent spell. Rehan spell read 7 overs 1 maiden 4 wickets for 15 runs.

Top scorer for Phantom CC was Sainishchal Besagarahally Manjunath 41. Rehan has taken 17 wickets in 5 games.

Arsenal will host Long Island United CC next week on Brentwood 2 which going to be another thrilling match.
