Queens, New York – Eastern American Cricket Association 2011 President, Rudy Persaud, Treasurer, Anubhav Chopra & Secretary, Danesh Deonarain, were voted back into office for the 2012 season. The three returning Executives are joined by Courtney Legall and Zaman Juman as Vice-President and Assistant Secretary/Treasurer, respectively, to round off the 2012 Board.

Rudy Persaud was re-elected as president of the Eastern American Cricket Association.

The League’s 2012 Annual General Meeting was held at Naresa Palace (116-14 Rockaway Blvd.) on Sunday, March 4th 2012.

Unlike in 2011 when Rudy was unopposed in his reelection, this year he won a majority vote to return to office. Anubhav and Danesh’s election to their posts were unopposed.

Courtney Legall is a long standing member of Atlantis Cricket Club and has served as ACC’s men’s team manager and recently as the club’s Vice-President.

Zaman Juman is a former EACA President and long standing member of Hillside Sports Club where he serves as the club’s President.

Matters relating directly to cricket included a vote in favor to using colored uniforms for the 2012 season.

Thirteen teams have committed to taking part of the EACA tournaments. Eleven of the 13 teams are returning from the 2011 season and they include; Atlantis CC, Big Apple CC, East Side Warriors, Enmore CC, Everest/ACS, Hillside SC, Liberty SC, Long Island United CC, Meten Meer Zorg CC, Richmond Hill CC & Victory CC. Camelot and Arsenal CC’s are the two new teams coming into the league.
