On Sunday Sept. 7th at Stables, Combined Warriors took on Scorpions, who are was sporting an 17-0 record in the Commonwealth Cricket League. The two teams lock horns and together a total of over 500 runs was scored in a single game.

Shiv Kumarlall blazed 124 in Combined Island win over Scorpions.

Scorpions won the toss and elected to field, with the opening pair of Andy Shivraj and Shiv Kumarlall walked to the middle  and made history in local cricket.

Scorpions confident quickly dwindle after Andy and Shiv scored 20 runs off the first over. They continued there destruction of Scorpions bowlers by hitting the ball all over the park and not sparing anyone.

At the end of 10 overs, Combined Warriors had 170 runs for 1. Shiv was caught in the 10 over but not before destroying Scorpions bowlers. He made 124 off 40 ball, including 12 sixes and 10 fours. Combined Warriors resumed their onslaught on Scorpions bowlers and reach a total of 294 for 4 wicket in 20 overs. Key contributors were Shiv Kumarlall 124, Andy Shivraj 42, Dinesh Mangroo 41, Tryone Wayne 26, and Richie Gayadeen 26.

On this day all bowling stats will not be accounted for. After compiling such a huge total, Combined Warriors was in the driver seat but Scorpions refused lay down or be push over by Warriors bowlers. Scorpions showed Warriors why they had a 17-0 record by replying with a score of 212. Scorpions players showed a lot of heart even though they fell short in the run chase. Main contributors to Scorpions batting was Azeem Khan 30, Boday 30 not out, and Isaac 30 not out.
