The Participating countries for this tournament are USA, Bermuda and Canada. This is a 50-Over Tournament utilizing a double round robin format with each participating country playing each other twice. The winner automatically advances to ICC U19 World Cup to be held in UAE in July 2014.

The USA National 19 team was selected after an exhaustive series of Regional trials followed by a selection Combine at which players were tested for speed, endurance, strength and cricketing skills. This comprehensive process provided the National Selectors the opportunity to assess technical, tactical, physical and mental strengths of the players in a variety of conditions.

The team will be captained by teenage senior team player Steven Taylor and includes many players who have progressed through the system from the U15 levels.
