Argentina won the toss and elected to field first, hoping to restrict the USA Women to a manageable total. However, the USA batters put up a disciplined performance, reaching 124/4 in their allotted 20 overs. Despite an early setback, with opener Disha Dhingra run out for just 1, the middle-order batters stabilized the innings. Gargi Bhogle anchored the innings with a steady 26 off 41 balls before falling to Mariana Martinez. Ella Claridge contributed a quick six runs before being dismissed. The real momentum came from Chetna Pagydyala, who remained unbeaten with 36 off 43 balls, and Isani Vaghela, whose 29 off 20 balls provided the necessary acceleration toward the end.
