United States of America Cricket Association (USACA) today announced the USA U19 team to compete in ICC Americas Under-19 Division 1 Championship to be staged in Bermuda from July 4th to 13th 2015. Other ICC Americas Associates competing in the tournament include Bermuda, Canada, Suriname.
The tournament will consist of two rounds of 50 over cricket.
Round 1 will have each team play a round robin against each other. At the completion of this, the top 3 ranked teams will progress to the second round, while the bottom ranked team will not.
Round 2 will have the top 3 teams play 1 game against each other, to determine the final ranking.
USA National under-19 team: Alexander Shoff, Akhil Ghirnikar, Arjun Patel, Chetram Persaud, Gauranshu Sharma, Karan Patel, Keifer Phill, Kushal Ganji, Mohak Buch, Nahusha Rao, Sagar Patel, Sahil Patel, Srihari Dasarathy and Yadunandan Polisetty.
Reserves are Gaurav Pantanker, Mihir Athavale and Tohidul Islam.
Management staff along with captain and Vice-captain will be named at a later date.
