The national governing body for cricket in the USA, the United States of America Cricket Association (USACA) has received the Governance Review Report from TSE Consulting containing a comprehensive analysis of the governance of the game of cricket in the United States. TSE Consulting was appointed by USACA in March 2013 and won the role over other bids due to their wide-ranging experience advising international and national sports bodies in this area.

The Board of USACA is very pleased with the process for inputs to the recent TSE Consulting Report on the long term governance approach for US cricket.

“The USACA Governance Review Report released by TSE Consulting is a very solid base for USACA to work from as we develop a more extensive set of recommendations to submit to our membership for their consideration in the coming weeks, ” said Mr. Darren Beazley, CEO of USACA.

USACA will commence an intensive consultation process with all members across the eight Regions of the USA in the next week. That process is designed to discuss the findings of the Report in detail and to reach consensus on a new approach to the governance of cricket in the USA that builds on the strong foundation of the past, but ensures that cricket keeps pace with modern best practices of sports administration.

“The key for us is to ensure a wide engagement with all the members of USACA and to build a model that drives youth and the involvement of women in our great game. At the same time, USACA must develop better and more professional infrastructure for national teams if we are to be competitive internationally. The TSE Consulting Report laid out best world’s practices and approaches from a number of US based and international sporting organizations,” said Mr. Brian Walters Chairman of the USACA Governance Committee.

The Report is available at the TSE website (www.tseconsulting.com) or USACA’s web site www.usaca.org.
