Media release from Nabeel Ahmed’s Campaign
I am shocked to see the developments of the USA women team which is heading to Bangladesh. They are to be taken care of providing lots of confidence instead of the problems. This is not the way to send a team representing the country. They are not being handled professionally and I recommend to the USACA board to please handle this team with respect and dignity. It is not a joke for these ladies to leave their families for a long time. I am shocked to hear that $75 a day is an issue when we talk about hundreds and thousands of dollars.

The arrangements made for the teams that have represented USA have been having issues for all these years and it is a shame to see it still continues.

Finally, I am happy to see League Presidents are speaking up, and not just speaking up but they have started the wave of vote of no confidence. It is coming out of New York I hope other presidents from all the regions follow that e-mail trail and show the strength.

If there is any body to blame for this move, it is the USACA leadership. It is a shame what USA cricket is going through at this time.

I was never in support of vote of no confidence but after seeing and analyzing what is happening to USA cricket, whatever it takes to save it from being destroyed by a handful people should be done. The people who are holding on to power even though their term has expired since March 28, 2011.

I plea and appeal to the league presidents for the sake of their leagues, member clubs, future of men cricket, women cricket, youth cricket, respect and dignity to come out and raise your concern and save US cricket from disaster the which is about to happen.

People and the league Presidents who are sitting, watching and allowing this disaster to continue should blame themselves also. This is not the time to save your friends, friendships and seats – the time has come to save US cricket from being destroyed.

The people who are coming out after years of absence need to realize what is their goal, is it to save US cricket, or take advantage of the situation and try to become leaders? People who are carrying votes are smart enough to analyze the candidates vision. The Presidential candidates who are seriously thinking to make a difference to save US cricket need to join hands to save US cricket right now.

It is now or never.

Let’s put petty agendas on the side and first save US cricket, then we will think and talk about competing for the seats. The problem and issue must be taken care of if you genuinely love to see US cricket prosper

Let’s change our focus from the elections right now to save US cricket from some people who are being given free hand to mess up USACA and who are considering it their property. They are disrespecting people through e-mails, in person, on the phone. They are also threatening leagues and members of consequences if they don’t listen to them.

I appeal to the leadership of USACA to control these USACA members before it becomes a serious problem.
