Women Cricketers To Help Celebrate Cricket Club’s 150th Anniversary

The Staten Island Cricket Club, an affiliate member club of the New York Metropolitan Cricket League (NYMCL), is celebrating its 150th Anniversary this year. The NYMCL congratulates the Staten Island Cricket Club on its Sesquicentennial Anniversary.

As part of its Sesquicentennial Anniversary celebrations, the Staten Island Cricket Club will host three Women’s T20 matches this holiday weekend to support women’s cricket. A representative women’s team from neighboring Canada will participate in the matches, featuring female cricketers from the New York metropolitan area.

The first game is set for 10:00 am this Saturday, May 28. That game will be followed by lunch, and the second match will start right after. The third game is scheduled for noon on Sunday, May 29.

All cricket lovers are welcome and encouraged to get to Walker Park to watch, support, and enjoy the ladies playing the beautiful game.

The matches will be played at Walker Park, 50 Bard Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10310.
